Dr. Mary Oyer
Dr. Oyer is a noted Mennonite musician, having served on the faculties of Goshen College, Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Kenyata University, Africa and Tainan Theological College and Seminary, Taiwan. Dr. Oyer also participated in the compilation of Hymnal: a Worship Book and several supplementary hymnals for Mennonite churches. She led congregational singing at Mennonite World Conferences in 1978 and 1997. She will present three informative, interactive lectures on Mennonite music, past, present and future.
Front Range Mennonite Choir
The Front Range Mennonite Choir, directed by Arlen Hershberger and Dr. Mary Oyer, will rehearse and sing "Hope for Resolution" by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory. This selection combines music with European motifs and African folk melodies. A children's choir and instruments will accompany the choir. The choir will also perform a variety of music from older classics to more modern hymns, gospel songs and spirituals.
