The invitation to our niece’s wedding read:

Cocktails 6 pm
Vows 7 pm
Dinner and dancing to follow

At 7pm the couple went to an elevated spot and we all gathered around them.  They welcomed us.  They said very personal and sweet vows to each other.  They exchanged rings.  The bride picked up her pitch pipe, gave us the note and led us in Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee, Be Thou my Vision, and Praise God from Whom.

Soprano, alto, tenor and bass parts rang out in the loft venue with the bride and groom’s families and close friends singing together and bearing witness to their love for each other and everyone around them.

The harmony and lyrics sealed the deal!

That is what we call Mennonite Music!
